The 2021 High Desert Reorganization
In July 2021, the San Bernardino Superior Court completed the High Desert Reorganization Project, which moved all family law cases from Victorville to Barstow.
Why: To address overcrowding at the Victorville courthouse and provide better-dedicated services for family law matters.
What moved: Divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence restraining orders, paternity, adoptions, small claims, and traffic.
What stayed in Victorville: Criminal cases, juvenile delinquency, probate, guardianship, conservatorship, and civil matters.
